Man, woman: desperately alone on an inhospitable planet, incomprehensibly inhabited only by the forms of them and some predators. A cold primitivism or desolate \u2014 left alone \u2014? Are the physical absences &#8220;waiting&#8221; for life, or &#8220;documenting&#8221; the life that was? And Martinesi digs, searches, desperately and courageously. His lofty conceptions of life, that life he believes in, can perhaps be understood in this period when he himself wrote: &#8220;Go woman, towards your new encounter with love, and try to believe that
